About the Organization - Agency Overview:
The vision of the Queen Ann Nzinga Center, Inc. (QANC) of "Performing to Inform and Inspire" is a reciprocal process for we strive not only to inform and inspire our audiences, but to be informed and inspired by them. The process of artistic expression and collaborative interaction serves as a catalyst for self actualization of program participants. QANC accomplishes its mission through the multi-dimensional programming components to include:
• Facilitating Children's Mentoring and Enrichment Programs. (positive youth development)
• Storytelling and Performing Sacred Music (spirituals) of the African American Experience in American History. (African American history)
• Promoting and directing professional musical performance bringing together North East Regional talent. (artists' collective)

- Agency Objectives and Aims:
Queen Ann Nzinga Center Inc. is named for an exemplary 15th Century African queen who protected her people from being sold into slavery. The name symbolizes the organization's aim to empower young people who face disadvantaging conditions to believe to be equal and thrive. The objective is to bring into play the arts and utilize supportive professionals to nurture the children of our future.
